William Ferris Chorale: I Look From Afar #2

December begins with waiting and anticipation. The expectation of Christmas, just a few weeks away. This year’s Christmas concert – and Christopher Windle’s first as Artistic & Music Director – revels in the waiting and watching.

The concert pays homage to the Chorale’s founder William Ferris with a beautiful Renaissance motet early in the program, gives way to music about the beauty of space, stillness, and wonder, and concludes with several 21st-century carols.

Composers include Kerry Andrew, Vicente Lusitano, Hannah Kendall, Eriks Esenvalds, Cecilia McDowall, Richard Causton, Roderick Williams, and Melissa Dunphy.
